Radio Show analysis - Fan Power

Fan Power - Can Harry Potter fans change the world?

This radio show format begins with a presenter talking in a studio, then listening to  interviews/snippets of interviews with people from the public/ part of a group about the Harry Potter fan base.
The show itself is presenter led, but also its led by the interviewees.
They talk to the head of the organisation 'Harry Potter Alliance' Andrew Slack. He talks about how Harry Potter has influenced him to help the world.
This radio show is broadcast on Radio 4.
Genre
The genre is a documentary/investigative radio show, as it is in discussion about how Harry Potter fans can change the world. The radio show itself is talking about 'The Harry Potter Alliance'. And how Harry Potter fans are trying to make a change. It is investigative as it looks behind the scenes into something that most people have probably never heard of. This is where the documentary genre comes into it, if was a visual program being broadcast on BBC2 it probably would be set out in exactly the same way as it is presented on the radio.

Format
The format of this radio show is mainly narrated by guests appearing on the show.

Audience
As this radio show is broadcast on Radio 4, the target audience could possibly be anyone who likes listening to discussions, but I think it would mostly be aimed at males and females aged over 45, maybe even an older audience.
Codes and conventions
Everything that is talked about in this radio show is accurate, as they are not reporting on the news. As there is only one side of an argument being talked about, there isn't really a balance of for and against this subject.
the BBC have a contract with the listener that they are going to make their radio shows listenable.
